Norways National Day - 17th May

The Norwegian Constitution Day is the National Day of Norway.
All over Norway, children's parades with flags. The longest parade is in Oslo, where some 100,000 people travel to the city centre to participate in the main festivities and passes the royal palace where the royal family greet the people from the main balcony and the parade stops at the Royal Palace.

In addition to flags, people typically wear red, white and blue ribbons. The children also make a lot of noise shouting "Hurra!", singing and blowing whistles.

Destination Ukraine

Ukraine, the second largest country in Europe after Russia. The city Kyiv is both the capital and the largest city of Ukraine. Around 85 percent of Ukrainians are Christian.

While three quarters of population define themselves as ethnically Ukrainian, many of those Ukrainians are still speak Russian as their first language.

Much of Ukraine is a fertile plain suitable for agriculture. Ukraine is rich in natural resources, and has a developed economy with large agricultural and industrial sectors. The country has a democratic type of government headed by a president.

Local kids are generally able to be seen in public. There are many small playgrounds and parks for the children.
